Tanzania's National Parks

Northern Circuit

Tanzania's Northern Wildlife Reserve Circuit is the country's most popular wildlife region. Here is where travelers find the wildebeest migration, the massive herd, lions crouched in the grass and our favorite park: The Ngorongoro Crater. Home to some of the world's most famous and renowned game parks, Tanzania's northern circuit contains the African animals you've dreamed about. When comparing the circuits, think of the Northern Circuit as the savannahs and the herd.

Southern Circuit

More remote and host to fewer visitors, Tanzania's southern circuit promises beautiful scenery, lush flora, and interesting animals to those who venture off the beaten track. Vast tracts of land remain unexplored and unexploited - part of the Africa of long ago. The southern parks' unspoilt beauty is due in part to their relative inaccessibility. A four-wheel drive vehicle is the best way to get around the region. When comparing the circuits, think of the Southern Circuit as the elephants, the waterways and the birds.

Western Circuit

Even more remote than the Southern Circuit, the Western Circuit is perfect for the adventurist. Yet, a word for the wise, these parks are some of the most difficult to reach in Tanzania. When comparing the circuits, think of the Western Circuit as the primates and the unusual.
