Dec 14 - Fly to Sainte Marie
Transfer to the airport and fly to Sainte-Marie, a beautiful tropical island off the east coast. Today’s relaxed ambience belies a turbulent past, as the island was once a pirate’s hideout. Upon arrival, we’ll be met and taken to our hotel. Overnight at Hotel Soanambo. Dinner included.
Dec 15 - Exploring Sainte Marie
In the morning, we’ll tour the island, taking in the main village of Ambodifotatra, Madagascar’s oldest church, as well as the pirate cemetery. We then take a traditional pirogue to the smaller Ile aux Nattes for a picnic lunch, a swim and time to relax on the beach. Overnight at Hotel Soanambo. All meals included.
Dec 16 - Farewell to Madagascar
We’ll have the morning free at our leisure. In the afternoon, we’ll transfer to the airport and fly back to Tanŕ, where we may visit the craft market which has some remarkable finds. Day rooms at the Hotel Soanambo are provided for our comfort. A farewell dinner marks the end of an incredible andventure before being transferred to the airport. All meals included.
