Road conditions vary from one locale to the next. Most roads are paved, but some have not been maintained since their contsrtuction. One of the main roads to the Maasai Mara is nicknamed "disco road" by locals due to it's effect on vehicles. Within the parks you will most often be traveling along trails made by 4WD vehicles.
