Getting from here to there

Over the 9 day adventure, you'll pass through vistas, valleys and villages in reliable, sturdy, yet comfortable 4WD vehicles. Road conditions vary from one locale to the next. The road is paved and well maintained from the airport all the way to the park gate at Ngorongoro. From there, main roads are all dirt roads with varying degrees of upkeep. Roads within the national parks are all dirt and mostly dirt trails made for 4WD vehicles. Travelers should be prepared for bumpy roads, mud if it's rainy and dust if dry.
