10 day Safari

Getting from here to there

Over the 10 - day adventure, you'll pass through vistas, valleys and villages in reliable, sturdy, yet comfortable 4WD vehicles. Road conditions vary from one locale to the next. The road is paved and well maintained from the airport all the way to the park gate at Ngorongoro. From there, main roads are all dirt roads with varying degrees of upkeep. Roads within the national parks are all dirt and mostly dirt trails made for 4WD vehicles. The road that takes you to the Barabaig lands is also dirt, but recent governmental attention to this road has made the journey much quicker and far less bumpy than just a few years ago. While in the village, you'll still have vehicle support if needed, but will mostly get around on foot through hills and dales.
