Young Gorilla (toddler) in Bwindi.
Discovering the Kingdoms of Uganda
Gorillas, Chimps and Music
11 Day Safari
Overview
This extraordinary expedition delves deep into the heart of a country that boasts Some of the world’s most beautiful scenery, friendliest people, and rarest wildlife encounters. Our adventure begins in the swamps and forests of Kibale, home to 11 species of primates. The discoveries continue in Queen Elizabeth National Park where we can experience the joy of a vast array of animals, including lions, elephants, warthog, and buffalo. Then we meet the Mountain Gorilla – one of the planet’s rarest animals – in Bwindi’s “impenetrable forest.” Following our time with the animal kingdom, we travel south to immerse ourselves in the traditions of two of Ugandan tribes. Through cooking lessons, storytelling, beer brewing, traditional healing, basket weaving and musical celebrations we will become a part of these kingdoms in the only way Another Land knows how. We will discover by doing – diving right in and participating “hands on.”
