Cheetahs and Chagga in Tanzania
July 22 - 30, 2008
From $3,995
In addition to our private programs, Another Land designs custom expeditions for affinity organizations around the US. These sponsored expeditions are open to anyone wishing to participate in an excorted tour. Together with Case Western Reserve University, we invite you to join this special safari to Tanzania.
Overview
Karibu! Another Land welcomes you in joining its longest running safari. From viewing wildlife of the Serengeti and learning from our expert guides to participating in the cultural activities of Kilimanjaro Chagga Tribe, you will walk away with stories to tell for a lifetime. Only a small number of outsiders are allowed in the village each year, so join Another Land for this rare opportunity.
Your journey begins with a wildlife safari through the famed Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park. Then journey to the region of the Chagga, who have lived around Mt. Kilimanjaro for hundreds of years. You will hear their stories and legends about the great mountain and the historic battles of the Maasai wars, visit the sacred waterfall inhabited by the water spirit, learn blacksmithing, carving, the Chagga’s traditional music and dance and try your hand at Banana Beer Brewing.
